We were delighted to welcome Rathkeale Fire Brigade to Kilfinny N.S. for a very enjoyable visit. The firefighters gave the children an informative safety talk, covering important topics such as fire safety, the dangers of fireworks and the risks of using a mobile phone while driving.
The children had so much fun exploring the fire engine, sitting inside, and even trying on a firefighters helmet.
This meaningful visit supported the development of essential life skills and helped the children to become more informed and responsible members of their community. By engaging directly with the firefighters, asking questions and exploring the fire engine, the children were encouraged to learn through active participation, curiosity and real-world experiences.
A huge thank you to Rathkeale Fire Brigade for taking the time to visit our school. It was a fantastic experience for everyone!
